Renting vs. Buying This Textbook
Renting is usually cheapest if you only need the book for one term: you return it with a free prepaid label when the term ends. Buying used can beat renting when the sell-back price is high, so compare the sell-back price with the rental price before you decide. An eTextbook arrives instantly but usually expires. Rentals and used copies rarely include working access codes.
Always match the ISBN on your syllabus (9780133887518) before you order; different editions have different ISBNs.
About This Book
For decades, H. Scott Fogler’s Elements of Chemical Reaction Engineering has been the world’s leading text for undergraduate- and graduate-level courses in chemical reaction engineering. Now, Fogler has created a new, completely updated fifth edition of his internationally respected book. The result is a refined, up-to-date book that contains new examples and problems, as well as and an updated companion website with video instruction. More than ever, Fogler has successfully integrated text, visuals, and computer simulations to help both undergraduate and graduate students master all of the field’s fundamentals. As always, he links theory to practice through many relevant examples—from solar energy to blood clotting, antifreeze to tissue engineering, drug delivery to computer chip manufacturing.
